News Sentinel Charities

The News Sentinel Charities, Inc. is a nonprofit - 501(c)3 - organization that was established in 1975 to manage and govern the Empty Stocking Fund and the Milk Fund. News Sentinel staff that serve on the News Sentinel Charities board manages both programs.

We are now accepting donations to the Empty Stocking Fund. Contributions can also be made by check to the following address. Gifts are acknowledged in the News Sentinel. Names will be listed as appears on your check unless a special note of instruction is included in the same envelope.

The mission of the News Sentinel Empty Stocking Fund (ESF) is to provide food and toys to disadvantaged East Tennesseans during the holidays.

Free Flu Shot Saturday

Free Flu Shot Saturday is the biggest annual fundraiser for the News Sentinel Empty Stocking Fund, a charity providing food baskets and toys for the underprivileged at the holidays. Donations are welcomed from those receiving shots and benefit the Empty Stocking Fund, but are not required.

Milk Fund

The Milk Fund, also part of the News Sentinel Charities, assists with nutritional and medical needs of small children, elderly and ill individuals.
